About

During the COVID19 lockdown, some people started baking bread. Me, I started dressing up like the flowers I found during walks in my Berkeley, California neighborhood.

These self-portraits from the Unfaithful Re/creations series honor California native flowers using sari fabrics and Odissi dance from India.

As an immigrant, an artist, and a California landscape architect, this has given me an opportunity to bridge home and homeland and to create joy, connection, and healing during pandemic times.
